CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENT
Chiropractic Adjustments are techniques used to help mobilize/manipulate joints in the body to improve their physical function. These adjustments can be performed manually by the doctor’s hands or with a tool. At Feroce Spine & Rehabilitation we use a diversified technique that allows us to manually manipulate the joints of the spine, pelvis, hips, knees, ankles, shoulders, elbows, and wrists.
FLEXION-DISTRACTION
Flexion-Distraction Technique is a type of decompression therapy that allows the doctor to decompress the joints and discs of the spine. This technique is assisted with a specific treatment table that bends and twists to allow the doctor to manually pivot off the affected joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons to stretch and decompress for relief.
MANUAL THERAPY
Manual therapy is a term used for different hands-on techniques to help manipulate soft tissue – muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia. At Feroce Spine & Rehabilitation we use different techniques such as Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release Technique, and Pin & Stretch techniques to help us loosen tight/spasmodic muscles, increase blood flow for healing, help breakdown fascial adhesions, and improve tendon, ligament, and muscular function.
IASTM - Instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation
IASTM is a form of Manual Therapy that is performed with a tool to help with muscle, tendon, ligament, and fascial function. At Feroce Spine & Rehabilitation we use “RockBlade”, which is a tool and technique that helps with nervous system stimulation to the area being treated, increases blood flow for healing, decreases fascial adhesion and improves muscle, tendon, and ligament function.
CUPPING THERAPY
Cupping Therapy is a tool assisted Manual Therapy technique. This technique uses specific “cups” that suction on to the body to help loosen tight, spasmodic, and injured soft tissue. These “cups” help increase tension into the affected soft tissue which helps stimulate the nervous system function, increase blood flow for healing, stimulate lymphatic system for proper metabolic waste drainage, decrease muscle, tendon, fascial, and ligament tightness for improved function.
EXERCISE THERAPY
Exercise Therapy is a form of rehabilitation that uses physical activity to treat imbalances, injuries, and health conditions. At Feroce Spine & Rehabilitation we utilize exercise therapy by implementing mobility programs to help with joint and muscular function, stability programs to aid in rebalancing the muscles to support the joint structures of the body and strengthening programs to help improve activity levels and prevent further/future injuries. We also like to educate our patients on the importance of self-care. Self-Care programs are great for individuals so that they can learn how to manage their imbalances, injuries, and conditions on their own.
